In keeping with our mission of empowering communities to strengthen their watershed and nurture its health, The River Project will conduct a total of four community meetings, one at each development phase of the Woodman Avenue project. Part of The River Project's role is to review all community input, so that neighborhood suggestions can be incorporated where feasible.
If you're a Woodman Avenue neighbor, we hope to hear from you.
Update:
The existing magnolias will be removed for the project. We appreciate that the community planted them many years ago, but they have struggled in the inhospitable conditions. Many are diseased, but there are a few smaller ones that may viable for adoption.
Alternatively, we have heard from stakeholders that re-use would be a nice idea. So if you know any local artists who work in Magnolia wood, let them know.
If you are interested in adoption or re-purposing these Magnolias, please get in touch with us ASAP.
