LA River Bioengineered Streambank Stabilization

Description: A project to remove the remnant concrete embankments along the Los Angeles River east and west of Balboa Blvd. in the Sepulveda Basin. Bioengineered Streambank stabilization utilizes a degradable filter fabric and native riparian plants to provide structural integrity for the riverbanks, improving water quality, flood protection and habitat while restoring natural river functioning.
