There are many groups, both nonprofit and government agencies, working together on projects throughout the county. Funding comes from numerous sources, including: statewide park and clean water bonds, city and county park and open space bonds, transportation mitigation funds, the US Army Corps of Engineers, and with the support of private foundations and individual donors. All these projects coordinate with the County’s Watershed Management Division. Each of the major rivers has a Master Plan, developed through stakeholder consensus process under the aegis of the County.
